At last night’s Crossville City Council meeting, Mayor James Mayberry presented an award to the student of the month, 5^th grader Aliyah Hawkins. Aliyah was nominated because of her example of fairness. Aliyah is the first one to help those with special needs get the assistance they require to participate in physical education activities. Aliyah is also a great competitor in various sports fields always demonstrating fairness on and off the field of play. Also Crossville Fire Chief Mike Turner presented five new firefighters to the city council. Captain Terry Potter and Firefighter Brian Garrett were honored for their outstanding service to the Crossville Fire Department.
