SUSPECT PURSUIT LEADS TO ROCKWOOD APARTMENT COMPLEX

A Harriman man led authorities on quite a chase Friday. Oak Ridge Police sent out a BOLO for 26-year-old Nathan Richard Vineyard driving a dark colored Ford Fusion along the Oak Ridge Turnpike and Gallaher Rd. heading toward Roane County at speeds in excess of 100 mph. The vehicle in question was spotted traveling at high speed toward Kingston on Highway 70, passing vehicles on the double line. Multiple deputies attempted to corner Vineyard when the vehicle was observed parked at an apartment complex in Heritage Hills in Rockwood. A perimeter was setup and Vineyard, who had been drinking alcohol, was caught trying to run up a trail behind the building. He was charged with two counts of evading arrest, public intoxication and driving on a suspended license.
