Crossville police went to a residence on Goodwin Circle last night to a disturbance. Officers state they saw from a back window 36-year-old Jeffery Dwayne Swallows of Crossville on top of a woman choking her. Swallows was reportedly tased after he failed to comply with the officers instructions and was resisting arrest. Swallows was transported to Cumberland Medical Center to remove the taser barbs then taken to jail.
