TEEN EJECTED FROM TRACTOR-TRAILER IN ACCIDENT
Two people were injured in a vehicle accident on Interstate 40 in Roane County yesterday (Friday, November 3, 2017). According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 2006 Freightliner tractor-trailer driven by 38-year-old Juan Carlos Garcia of Union City, New Jersey was heading west at the 348 mile marker when he lost control and went through a guardrail. The tractor-trailer went down into the median and finally came to a rest. A passenger, 16-year-old Juan Carlos Garcia Jr. of Allentown, Pennsylvania was ejected through the windshield and ended up in the left lane of eastbound traffic. Both were transported to area hospitals for treatment. The driver was charged with failure to excercise due care and driving on a suspended license.
