The Tennessee Highway Patrol and medics responded to a single-vehicle accident last night on Highway 70 East near Hillbilly Hollow Road in Cumberland County.

The accident report states a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup driven by a 17-year-old male went off the road. The truck traveled up an embankment before overcorrecting and crossing the highway. The vehicle struck a metal pole before traveling over an embankment and overturned. The pickup came to rest on its top.

Troopers say the teenager sustained injuries in the crash.
