THEFT OF TOOLS FROM HOME UNDER INVESTIGATION

Cumberland County deputies are investigating the burglary of a home, from which more than $3,400 worth of tools and equipment was stolen Wednesday.

The owner of a local service company reported he was doing work at a customer’s home on the 1900 block of Highway 70 East when he discovered an unknown suspect or suspects had gained entry to the home. The man said he believes the suspect used a pass key hidden at the residence to enter the home.

Items stolen include a Makita Saws All, a tool box with miscellaneous tools, a Chicago electric table saw, a kerosene heater, a backpack blower with Lawn Rangers engraved in the plastic and a 5,500-watt John Deere generator, valued at $1,800.

No suspects have been identified at this time.
