SECURITY CAMERA REPORTED STOLEN FROM CUMBERLAND COUNTY HOME

A local resident recently discovered his security camera stolen. Video footage captured by the camera before it was disconnected shows an unidentified man removing the Blink wireless security camera from its wall mount outside his home at 12:26 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

According to the police report, video footage shows the subject driving a newer-model silver extended-cab four-wheel-drive pickup truck.

The homeowner says he confronted the man, who claimed he was doing work on the roadway and notified him there would be two dump trucks in front of his home, on the 1600 block of Stanley Street.

The homeowner told Cumberland County deputies he suspects the subject of surveying properties, scoping them out for possible burglaries. He further said he would email the video surveillance footage to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office for analysis.

The stolen camera was valued at $300.
