BBBTV12 – On April 3, 2024, Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) Captain Stacey Heatherly was traveling west on Highway 62 in Morgan County, responding to tornado damage, when a pickup truck crossed the center line and struck her vehicle head-on.

On Wednesday, THP shared a video on social media announcing that Captain Heatherly has officially returned to duty.

The crash was caused by a Dodge Ram that veered into oncoming traffic. The driver of the pickup was also injured and later charged in connection with the incident.
