THREE ARRESTED ON CHARGES FOLLOWING TRAFFIC STOP

Early this morning (Monday, September 11, 2017), a deputy with the Roane County Sheriff’s Department pulled over a vehicle for speeding. A consent search of the vehicle allegedly revealed a bag containing a glass pipe with marijuana odor coming from it. Officers arrested 25-year-old Samuel Franklin Wright of Kingston and charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia. A check of another occupant of the vehicle, 27-year-old Jessica Ann Campbell of Harriman revealed an outstanding warrant. A check of a third occupant, 31-year-old Justin Wayne Smith of Kingston revealed a failure to appear warrant. All three were transported to the Roane County jail.
