TRACTOR-TRAILER ACCIDENT SNARLS TRAFFIC ON HWY. 127

A tractor-trailer accident on Highway 127 near the Cumberland/Bledsoe County line just after 4 this morning (Thursday, November 16, 2017) resulted in traffic snarls for the majority of the morning. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 2006 International driven by 57-year-old Vasiliy Mokey of Maple Grove, Minnesota was driving too fast downhill and went off the right side of the highway in a curve. The tractor-trailer overturned resulting in the southbound lane being blocked. Troopers say the trailer split open spilling its contents of frozen chicken. Mokey was treated at the scene for minor injuries sustained.
