TRACTOR-TRAILER RIG CARRYING VODKA CRASHES ON I-40 IN ROANE COUNTY
Authorities had their hands full with a tractor-trailer wreck in Roane County Wednesday night that involved “spilled liquor.” According to the preliminary investigation report, the 2009 International rig was traveling on I-40 eastbound near mile marker 341 when the machine ran off he left side of the roadway and struck an embankment. After trailer hit the rock it split open spilling part of its cargo: bottles of Vodka. The left lane of the interstate was closed for approximately five hours for the cleanup operation. The driver, 41-year-old Dayan A. Garzon of Miami, Florida, was uninjured.
