Just after 8 a.m., officers went to the 335-mile marker of I-40. A 2018 Nissan Altima driven by 19-year-old Elizabeth Alex Bohannon was traveling east and lost control in a curve on the wet road. The Nissan left the interstate and struck a ditch. The vehicle sustained disabling damage. Bohannon was not injured in the crash.

Over an hour later, troopers responded to Highway 127 South at Willard Brown Road. The report states a 2011 Cadillac driven by 63-year-old Sandra Dodson was traveling north when a deer ran out in front of her vehicle. The impact caused significant damage to the Cadillac. Dodson was not hurt.
