Last night the Tennessee Highway Safety Office in conjunction with the Rockwood Police Department conducted a THSO DUI checkpoint on U.S. 27. The checkpoint was very successful thanks to the additional participation of the THP, the Roane County Sheriff’s Office, Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, the Oliver Springs Police Department, the Crossville Police Department, the Knoxville Police Department, and the Harriman Police Department. Over 30 citations for traffic violations were issued along with 6 DUI arrests. Thanks to all the agencies who made the roadblock a success in keeping you safe!
