TWO ARRESTED FOLLOWING DRUG STING OPERATION
A drug sting operation in Roane County last night (Thursday, August 10, 2017) resulted in two arrests. According to the arrest report, officers were led to a residence at the 200th block of Hannah Drive that police say was known to be involved with trading meth. Authorities observed a vehicle leave the home and was later pulled over at a lumber company. A passenger in the vehicle, 32-year-old Ivy Elizabeth Henderson of Rockwood, was allegedly found to be in possession of a bag containing meth. A consent search of the vehicle allegedly revealed a set of digital scales, a syringe, two glass pipes and two cut straws that contained a white residue. Henderson was charged with the manufacture, sale and delivery of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal attempt and served a warrant for failure to appear. The driver, 32-year-old Darren Caleb Payne of Harriman, was arrested for criminal attempt. Both were transported to the Roane County jail.
