TWO ENTER PLEA OF GUILTY TO CHILD SEX CRIME CHARGES
Two men from Cumberland County facing child sex crime charges plead guilty in criminal court yesterday (Thursday, August 9, 2017). Court officials say 47-year-old Mark Anthony Conatser of Crossville was charged with solicitation of a minor. In court yesterday, Conatser entered a plea of guilty but requested judicial diversion. A sentencing hearing for Conatser was set for November 6 to see if he will be placed on judicial diversion or if he will see time in prison. In the case of Andy Clay Phillips, labeled violent against children by authorities, he pled guilty to sexual offender registration form violations. He received three years in prison as a range two offender. Phillips was convicted in 2002 for using a minor for obscene purposes.
