A three vehicle accident in Cumberland County this morning (Wednesday, September 20, 2017) on Sparta Highway at Pomona Road resulted in two injuries. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 1999 Chevy Suburban driven by 18-year-old Teres McCullough of Crossville, a 2003 Honda operated by 86-year-old Jane Heald of Pleasant Hill and a 2002 Chevrolet pickup driven by 48-year-old Lois Pugh of Sparta were all heading east when McCullough stopped to make a left turn onto Pomona Road. Troopers say Heald stopped to wait for McCullough to turn and was rear ended by Pugh. The impact sent Heald’s vehicle into the rear of McCullough. According to the troopers report, two injuries were sustained but did not identify who was injured.
