Two people were killed in an accident early this morning in Loudon County. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a Honda Civic driven by 21-year-old Whitney Sande crossed over the center line on State Highway 444 (Tellico Parkway) and struck a vehicle driven by 62-year-old Leann Newman head on. Both passed away as a result of the impact. Tellico Parkway was closed for several hours this morning as the Tennessee Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
