TWO SENTENCED TO PRISON FOR STATUTORY RAPE
Two individuals from Cumberland County were sentenced in criminal court this week on sex crimes. Court officials say 38-year-old William Eblen Daugherty of Crossville was charged with aggravated statutory rape. According to the indictment, Daugherty allegedly had sexual relations with a minor under the age of 18. In court this week, Daugherty pled to a lesser charge of statutory rape and was given two years in prison. The same sentence was handed down to 31-year-old William Gregory Mills who also pled to statutory rape of a minor.
