A two vehicle accident on Highway 70 West near Page Road in Cumberland County yesterday afternoon resulted in one injury. Troopers say a 2017 Freightliner tractor-trailer operated by 22-year-old Matthew Smith of Cookeville rear-ended a 1992 Ford F-150 driven by 33-year-old Laura Justice of Crossville who was preparing to make a turn. The impact sent the F-150 in a yard in front of the highway. Justice was reported injured. Smith was charged with failure to exercise due care. Both were restrained at the time of impact.
