Dudley Evans of BBBTV12 reports a two-vehicle accident occurring today around 1:30 p.m. EST on Old Harriman Highway in Morgan County near Oakdale, resulting in one vehicle leaving the roadway and traveling over an embankment. Because of the difficult location and the recovery efforts involved, the Morgan County Rescue Squad requested assistance from the Roane County Rescue Squad.

Although traffic in the area was restricted for a period of time while emergency crews worked to recover the vehicle and clear the scene, Old Harriman Highway has since been fully reopened. No serious injuries were immediately reported, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol is currently investigating the crash.
