A Sparta business is set to go on the auction block August 26. The U.S. Marshal Service will auction off around 600 lots from the former Gentry Brothers Tractor Supply store on Miller’s Point Road. The owner, Jeff gentry was charged and pleaded guilty to mail fraud and money laundering in a Ponzi-type scheme against unsuspecting investors. Officials say that there will be some of everything available in the auction from tractors to motor vehicles. The proceeds will go towards paying back the victims. They also commented that the land will be sold separately at a later time through a regular realtor.
