VEHICLE BURGLARIZED OFF OF ARROW ROCK ROAD IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

A Cumberland County deputy took a report over the phone this week of a vehicle burglary and vandalism.

The female told the officer she was hiking at the overlook on Arrow Rock Road near Fairfield Glade.

She returned to her vehicle to see the passenger side window busted out and her purse taken from the back seat. The report states total loss and damages around $1,300.

She learned from a friend there were similar thefts at the Black Mountain trailhead in Crab Orchard.

Law enforcement encourages motorists to keep anything of value inside the automobile out of plain sight or secure valuables in the truck.
