A Cumberland Countian who served many years on the Highway Patrol has passed away. Ted Swafford served as a trooper at the Cookeville Regional THP Headquarters for 36 years. He had retired from service. Swafford was also active in several county functions through the years Funeral services for Swafford, who was 72, will be held at Central Baptist Church on Wednesday, Oct. 5^th at 2 PM. Family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 10 AM-2 PM. He leaves his wife Irene, and daughter Kristi Pugh. Hood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
