CROSSVILLE CITY COUNCIL AGENDA ITEM CALLS FOR INTERIM CITY MANAGER TO RESIGN

Monday was the last day that Crossville City Council Members could submit agenda items to be added to the upcoming monthly meeting on Thursday, Oct. 13th. One item could prove to become highly controversial. Council Member Pete Souza has requested that the council address the subject and call for the resignation of interim City Manager Steve Hill. While Souza has had his share of controversy, the spotlight is now on Hill and his inclusion in 6 of 13 Ethics violation charges that have been made public. Those charges include an audit showing the alleged disappearance and reappearance of items purchased while he was parks and recreation director for the city and alleged abuse of power while he has been interim city manager. Items submitted by council members to be included in a meeting’s agenda can be removed anytime before the agenda is finalized or published, before the meeting takes place or during the meeting itself by the council member that originally submitted it.
