In recognition of and to honor all veterans who have served in our country’s Armed Forces and all first responders, a significant memorial in Fairfield Glade will become a reality with a planned opening on Veterans Day 2021. With the approval of the Fairfield Glade Community Club Board, The Veterans and First Responders Memorial at Fairfield Glade will be included in the newly acquired area south of Robin Hood Park on Snead Drive.

The Fairfield Glade Community Club has graciously set aside two acres of land for the memorial. The high-quality design for the memorial is in the first development stage and will be presented to the public in early 2020.

The Veterans and First Responders Memorial at Fairfield Glade is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation. The memorial will be financed primarily through private donations. A Board of Directors is in place to manage this project. The board consists of President – Tony Moreno, Vice President – Mike Williams, Secretary – Philip Smith, Treasurer – Denise Dickinson, At Large – Alan Joseph, Gene Pino, Oliver Dossmann, and Carl MacLeod.  Three committees are also in place. They are the Design & Construction Committee, the Marketing and Outreach Committee, and the Finance Committee. The development of an official website (VeteransMemorialFG.com) is in progress and will be launched on Veterans Day this year (11/11/19).

The objective for the Memorial is to recognize and honor the armed forces of the United States of America and all first responders who have valiantly served their country, community, and fellow citizens.
