The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department is looking into a stabbing. A 29-year-old male victim told them he got into a fight with a man yesterday. The aggressor pulled a knife and pierced him twice in the back. The assailant then fled the scene. The wounded was taken to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment. He did not want to identify the suspect nor where the act took place. Law enforcement learned the male being treated by medics was on parole and supposed to be at a halfway house in Knoxville. No further information was released. The incident is under investigation.
