WANTED IOWA MAN ARRESTED IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

A fugitive from Iowa was arrested New Years Eve in Cumberland County. According to the arrest report released this morning, deputies got information of a wanted man staying on Timberline Road in the Pandora Forest Campground. Officers found 57-year-old Wendell Keith Hunter of Forest City, Iowa and a check confirmed he was wanted out of Winnebago County, Iowa with a nationwide extradition. Hunter was taken into custody and transported to the Cumberland County jail. Winnebago County court officials told 105.7 News this afternoon that Hunter failed to appear for sentencing on charges of identity theft and a weapons violation.
