WARRANTS ISSUED FOR LOCAL MAN FOR DISORDERLY CONDUCT, PUBLIC INTOXICATION

Cumberland County deputies have issued warrants for the arrest of 32-year-old Brian Paul Jolley of Crossville after an incident in Lake Tansi last week. Deputies were dispatched there for a report of a suspicious person banging on doors. A subsequent caller to the Tansi Police Department indicated the man was beating on her back door on the 500 block of Tsala Drive.

When deputies arrived, they found an agitated Jolley shouting at them from across the street, claiming he needed a ride to Westel.

When asked what was in Westel, he replied he had to go to his dad’s house because his dad was sick.

Then, the police report states, Jolley said he “had to get to the hospital immediately. He then argued with himself on where he actually needed to go.”

Jolley was said to be unable to stand still. He began to make a scene and, according to deputies, his speech was incoherent. Deputies described him as becoming “mentally unstable,” adding he seemed to be under the influence of an undetermined substance.

Deputies detained Jolley to prevent harm to himself or others, then they summoned EMS; Jolley was eventually transported to Cumberland Medical Center for evaluation.

While at the hospital, Jolley stated he was under the influence of meth, whereupon deputies went to the Justice Center to sign warrants.
