At least nine wildfires were reported to fire officials over the weekend, including a total of six in an area from Big Rock on Crab Orchard Mountain to Millstone Mountain near Westel.  A dry air mass in place, warm temperatures, and abundant sunshine will create extremely dry conditions this afternoon and relative humidity values drop into the 25-30 percent range. Winds will be fairly light, with speeds of 5-10 mph, with some higher gusts to 15 mph possible later in the afternoon, Any unnecessary outdoor burning is discouraged!
