WHITE COUNTY MURDER SUSPECT NOT WAIVING EXTRADITION
An extradition hearing was held today in Minnesota for a man charged with the murder of a White County, Tennessee, man. Court officials say 21-year-old Joshua Nathaniel Jordi is charged with the stabbing death of his father 50-year-old Timothy Jordi last month in Sparta. Officers say Joshua Jordi then returned to Minnesota where he was in college at Minnesota State University (MSU). Officers say a search of Joshua Jordi’s room at Crawford Residence Hall at MSU found a notebook with a diagram of his father’s home. The notebook also allegedly contained “a list of assorted items commonly associated with the concealment of a crime,” such as latex gloves, plastic bags and a change of clothing and shoes. In the hearing held today, Jordi did not waive his extradition and will continue to be held in Minnesota until a governor’s rendition warrant is obtained.
