WIRELESS ACCESS POINTS (HOTSPOTS) ESTABLISHED IN BLEDSOE COUNTY AND SOUTHERN CUMBERLAND CO.
Bledsoe Telephone Cooperative (BTC) Fiber has installed wireless access points to assist with those who may need internet access through this unique time with the coronavirus pandemic. These access points are free of charge. BTC has two locations in the southern portion of Cumberland County, which is the northern portion of their service area, that may be of interest to Cumberland County residents.
One hotspot is at the Winesap Freewill Baptist Church located near the Cumberland/Bledsoe County Line on Highway 101 (Lantana Road). They also have a hotspot at the Nine Mile Volunteer Fire Department located on Old State Highway 28 in the Nine Mile Community.
Each of these hotspots provide bandwidth in the parking areas of these facilities. See addresses of the two locations and a shared google earth location marker below.
