WISCONSIN MAN CHARGED WITH SEXUAL EXPLOITATION IN CASE INVOLVING MADISONVILLE TEEN
A Wisconsin man has now been charged in connection with the case of the Monroe County teen who was found safe last week.
Federal court documents say 31-year-old Bryan Rogers persuaded the teen to take video footage of herself being raped by her adoptive father. He now faces federal charges of sexual exploitation of a child and transporting the explicit video across state lines.
The girl was found in a closet in Rogers’ living area in the basement of his mother’s home in Madison, Wisconsin. She has claimed her adopted father, 41-year-old Randall Lee Pruitt, had sexually abused her for more than a decade.
Pruitt is being held without bond in Monroe County on rape charges. Investigators said they found videos of Pruitt engaging in sexual activity with the girl on her phone.
The same day the girl was found and Pruitt was arrested for rape, Rogers was arrested by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office and charged with abduction and/or child taking.
Rogers appeared in court in Wisconsin Monday afternoon; he’s due back in court for a detention hearing Thursday. If convicted, Rogers could face 15 to 30 years in federal prison.
Pruitt was due in court in Monroe County this morning. His charges are strictly at a state level, because all known offenses against him happened in Tennessee.
