WOMAN ADMITS TO TEXTING WHILE INVOLVED IN HIT-AND-RUN SCHOOL BUS ACCIDENT

A woman who struck a student as he was exiting a school bus in Morristown earlier this week has reportedly admitted to texting while driving. 37-year-old Heather Williams has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident which took place Monday evening on Lincoln Ave. Police say that the 6-year-old boy was climbing off the bus when Williams drove around the vehicle hitting him. She failed to stop after the incident. There has been no word on the child’s condition or what the extent of his injuries were. Williams has also been charged with passing a school bus stop sign and texting while driving.
