WOMAN ARRESTED AT CROSSVILLE GAS STATION FOR THEFT OF STOLEN SCION TC
On April 27, 2026, Sergeant Jessie Henson was patrolling Peavine Road when he identified a silver Scion TC parked at a Mr. Zipps gas station that had been reported stolen out of Rutherford County, Tennessee. Upon making contact with the driver, identified as Sarah Ellen Ceron-Garcia, Sgt. Henson detained her despite initial resistance and read her the Miranda Rights. Ms. Ceron-Garcia admitted to taking the vehicle without the owner’s consent earlier that morning after deciding not to wait for him. She claimed she had been unable to return the car to the owner, Mr. Ronald Brown, because she ran out of gas.
During the investigation, Ms. Ceron-Garcia initially alleged that a man named Bryan had helped her with fuel and was traveling with her toward Greenville, claiming he had fled into the woods just before the officer’s arrival. However, after Sgt. Henson reviewed security footage and found no evidence of a passenger, Ms. Ceron-Garcia confessed to Detective Keyton Harthun that there was never anyone else in the vehicle. Following a phone consultation with the owner, who requested the vehicle be left on-site with the keys inside, Sgt. Henson transported Ms. Ceron-Garcia to the Cumberland County Justice Center. She was subsequently served with a warrant for theft of property for the vehicle, which was valued at approximately $4,500.
