Cumberland County Deputies charged a woman with DUI and reckless endangerment after she was observed riding children on the roof of a minivan. 31-year-old Krystle Erion of Cookeville was stopped on Eastland Rd. after traveling with the vehicle’s rear doors open and three children on the top. After the traffic stop, a 3-year-old was also found in the rear seat buckled with a seat belt only. Erion failed a series of sobriety tests and confessed that she’d had two shots of tequila previously. She was taken into custody and faces three charges of reckless endangerment and DUI. None of the children were injured in the incident.
