Cumberland County deputies responded to Cumberland Medical Center yesterday for a female with an injury from a firearm. While speaking with the woman in her 40’s, the deputy observed large bruising to her right arm along with small lacerations and burns. The female told officers she was shooting her new single barrel shotgun. When she pulled the trigger on the third shot, the barrel blew off causing the injuries to her arm. The female was treated for injuries sustained in the accident.
