Crossville Police have charged a woman with trying to smuggle drugs into a penal facility. Officers were called Monday to Walmart for the report of 35-year-old Sarah Danielle Turner who was caught allegedly trying to shoplift over $400 worth of merchandise. During a search, Turner was asked if she had anything illegal on her person. She denied it, but continued to adjust her underwear in a suspicious manner and asked to go to the bathroom several times. At the jail intake, Turner was strip searched. Officials found two small bags of methamphetamine, and several prescription pills including Oxymorphone and Alprazolam.
