12-YEAR-OLD OKAY AFTER BEING SHOT BY 2-YEAR-OLD

A 12-year-old Hermitage boy has been released from the hospital after he was shot by a 2-year-old relative over the weekend. Police say that Sunday morning, around six kids were playing in the driveway of the home when the young child got into a car and somehow got hold of the loaded pistol which had been placed in the side compartment. The victim was shot in the leg and taken to a hospital immediately. Authorities say that the woman who owned the handgun was a visiting relative. This is the 26th unintentional shooting in Tennessee this year involving a child.
