FOUST CHARGED FOR POSSESSION OF METH, RESISTING ARREST

Cumberland County deputies responded to a home on Hazel Lane late Sunday night, for reports of sales of illegal narcotics. They encountered 28-year-old Adrian Foust outside the home, heading toward a car across the street. Foust had red, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech and was making erratic arm movements. When asked if she had any weapons, Foust admitted she had a knife, but refused to permit a pat down and, while being detained, attempted to flee. As deputies at last subdued her, Foust fell to the ground and lay on her hands so officers could not handcuff her. When they were cuffing her, one of the deputies noticed an odor of marijuana coming from Foust. During a search, deputies found eight used syringes, and about a gram of marijuana. One of the syringes tested positive for meth.

Foust eventually agreed to speak with deputies and admitted she went to the residence to purchase marijuana, paying $10 for one gram. She denied knowing who lives there but found out about the drug sales through a friend.

Foust was charged with manufacture, sale, delivery or possession of meth; resisting arrest; simple possession and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. She was placed under $9,500 bond. Her court date is set for March 11.
