CROSSVILLE MAN TO APPEAR IN COURT ON THURSDAY FOR ALLEGED STABBING INCIDENT
On June 11th, Dylan Caleb Howard of Crossville is scheduled to appear in the Cumberland County General Sessions Court on two separate criminal charges, represented by attorney Jeff Vires. The first charge is for Criminal Trespass stemming from an incident just before midnight on May 31, 2026. According to the affidavit filed by Lt. Dustin Lester, Howard was discovered hiding next to a “no trespassing” sign on a power pole near a barn on County Garage Road, a property clearly marked against trespassers.
The second and more severe charge is for Aggravated Assault. This charge follows an investigation by Investigator Robert Kollros into an unprovoked stabbing that occurred earlier that same evening, around 10:09 PM, at a residence on Short Road. The victim suffered a stab wound to his upper left arm and was treated at Cumberland Medical Center. Witnesses at the scene identified the suspect as Howard, who was later positively identified in a photographic lineup.
When Lt. Lester apprehended Howard on County Garage Road roughly a half-mile from the scene a few hours later, Howard matched witness descriptions and was found in possession of a knife. Both warrants were officially sworn and filed on June 2, 2026.
