The Crossville Police Department, in partnership with the Tennessee Highway Safety Office, has announced plans to conduct sobriety checkpoints later this month.

The operations are scheduled to take place on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Authorities have designated three main corridors for the checkpoints:

• Peavine Road

• Genesis Road

• Lantana Road

Motorists traveling through these areas during the enforcement window are urged to exercise caution. The police department specifically requests that drivers slow down when approaching the checkpoint zones and refrain from using high-beam headlights as they near the area.
