APRIL 2-8 IS NATIONAL CRIME VICTIM’S RIGHTS WEEK
The Tennessee Treasury Department is joining organizations across the country April 2 – 8 in recognizing National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. The week is a way to raise awareness of victims’ rights, inspire the community, and address unmet needs. The Criminal Injuries Compensation Program, a program of the Tennessee Treasury Department, works to help innocent of violent crimes in Tennessee. The theme for the 2017 National Crime Victims’ Rights Week is “Strength, Resilience and Justice”, reflective of the week’s purpose to strengthen victims, help them remain resilient, and assist communities in attaining justice and healing.
