BLEDSOE COUNTY FAMILY REUNITED AFTER THANKSGIVING DAY ACCIDENT

A Bledsoe County family who got into a car crash early Thursday morning, and were separated for hours, were able to have Thanksgiving together. Corey Summers with Bledsoe Co. Rescue Squad said the crash happened around 3:30 AM in the Luminary Community. After the crash, authorities said a male family member left the scene to try and get help for his family, but never made it back. The rescue team was notified just before 9 AM to initiate a search and rescue. Despite it being a holiday and being short-staffed, crews set up a command post at Webs Chapel Church. Officials said additional emergency crews helped out, and they quickly found tracks leading them to the lost person. The lost man was found and returned safely to his family by 11 AM.
