A Bledsoe County grand jury has indicted a man accused of the ax murders of a mother and daughter. Officers say 43-year-old Robert Joe Whittenburg killed 46-year-old Deanna Lawrence and 24-year-old Dedra Lawrence at a Sawmill Road residence last November. Whittenburg was found in the home unconscious when officers arrived. Whittenburg will appear in Bledsoe County Court tomorrow morning.
