“BREAKING NEWS” DAVID BEATY MAY RETURN TO POSITION OF CROSSVILLE POLICE CHIEF

Crossville may have a new police chief and most residents will recognize him. David Beaty was Chief of Police for the city for 19 years, from 1996 until he took an early retirement from the position in January of 2015. Rodney Shoap took over from Beatty as interim chief until he resigned earlier this year at which time Lt. Mark Rosser stepped in to become interim chief. Crossville interim City Manager Steve Hill says that Beaty has been offered the job after being recommended by an interview committee and that nothing is definite, but other sources tell 1057 News that Beaty will take over sometime in early January.
