BREAKING NEWS – Cumberland County deputies and medics are on the scene of a shooting in an area off of Highway 70 North near the Crossville Stockyard. Initial reports indicate one person in his late 30’s and a 35-year-old male sustained gunshot wounds. Both are being initially taken to Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville for treatment of injuries. The conditions of the victims is not available at this time. Air medical has been requested to fly the two to area trauma centers but cannot respond because of foggy conditions. Sources say the shooter is in custody. This is a breaking news story and more information will be released at a later time by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department.
