Candidates running for governor in Tennessee are shelling out dollars to make it the most-expensive race so far in state history.

In looking at the spending from the top six candidates, a total of $37 million dollars has already been spent. The numbers are from campaign-finance disclosures. Those same six candidates have raised a cumulative total of more that $50 million. The fundraising total includes personal contributions and loans the candidates made to their campaigns since the beginning of the race.

Here is a look at each individuals fundraising between April 1 and June 30:

Former Nashville Mayor Karl Dean raised about $813,000.

Knoxville businessman Randy Boyd raised $662,000.

U.S. Rep. Diane Black raised $620,000.

Williamson County businessman Bill Lee received $438,000 in contributions.

House Speaker Beth Harwell raised $213,000.

House Minority Leader Craig Fitzhugh, received $75,000 in contributions.

The following is a summary of what each candidate has available to spend heading into the final stretch of the race:

Boyd – $3.2 million

Lee – $3.6 million

Black – $2.6 million

Harwell – $2.8 million

Dean – $1.4 million

Fitzhugh – $467,000

The candidates already spent a combined total of over $22 million on the race for governor of Tennessee:

Boyd – $8.5 million

Black – $6.3 million

Lee – $3.1 million

Harwell – $2.3 million

Dean – $1.9 million

Fitzhugh – $451,000

Overall, the candidates have either lent or contributed more than $35 million to their campaigns.

The candidates have one more campaign-finance report to file before the August 2 primary.
