The annual Cumberland County High School mock DUI drill will be held Thursday morning. The event will take place in front of CCHS on Stanley St. around 10 AM and is a mock accident set up to emphasize to students how important it is to not drink and drive during Prom Night activities. The drill involves an actual accident simulation. At the time of the event, Crossville City Police, deputies, and fire and rescue crews and EMS will all converge on the scene as if it were a real crash, including using sirens. Motorists should be prepared to hear the sirens at that time and to take normal precautions.
