Motorists traveling on Highway 27 in Morgan and Roane counties should be alert for road closures. In order to allow for blasting operations, the highway will be closed near Coal Hill Road Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays this week and next (July 9-20, 2018). Blasting will occur between 10 a.m. and noon, and will require the roadway to be closed for 30 to 40 minutes. Motorists may want to consider alternate routes, including State Route 328.
