CROSSVILLE CITY COUNCIL MEETS

During tonight’s Crossville City Council meeting, members unanimously approved a third and final reading removing the restrictions of drive-thru windows at retail liquor stores. The council also approved the application for a Tennessee Agriculture Enhancement Program 50/50 match grant to buy trees to be planted in the city and approved $10,000 to reimburse the Cumberland County Board of Education for the Cumberland County High School drainage project. The council also approved the grant application to the Department of Justice for police vests. The city was presented a plaque from TCAT for being an educational partner regarding the truck-driving range for students. The council also received a plaque from the Crossville Cruisers in appreciation of the city allowing them to hold cruise-ins in the downtown area. Crossville Mayor James Mayberry also administered the oath of office to the Crossville Housing Authority’s new chairman of the board, Bobby Randolph.
